This past weekend we visited Aunt Kathy, Uncle Jimmy and Erica in Round Rock. Sydney was able to play in their beautiful swimming pool. This was Sydney's first time in a pool. She absolutely loved it!

Kiddie Acres
Sydney's friend, Carter, had a birthday party this past weekend in Austin at Kiddie Acres. Sydney had a great time riding the carousel, a horse and a train!
Memorial Day Weekend
On Memorial Day weekend, we took a trip to Alice to work cattle, baptize Sydney and visit family. We had such a fun weekend! The kids especially enjoyed playing in (and out!) of the pool. I think it was more fun to climb in and out of the pool than it was to stay in the pool and play in the water. Everyone had a great time!
Baptism
On Memorial Day weekend Sydney was baptized at The First Presbyterian Church in Alice. It was such a special day for her. Pastor Krin led a great ceremony. Sydney Anne is the FOURTH generation in our family to be baptized in this church. Our hope is that we continue to raise her in a loving, Christian home and that she knows Jesus Christ throughout her life.
Gigi, Grampy Tom & Aunt Erin Visit
Scotty's sister and parents visited during Sydney's birthday weekend. Erin stayed for the weekend and his parents stayed for a week. It was so nice having them at the house! They had such a wonderful time with Sydney and Sydney really enjoyed having them here! Scotty and I enjoyed their company, as well. It's always nice when they come out!
Sydney is ONE!!!
I cannot believe our little girl is 1 year old already!! Time really flies by! Sydney's birthday was great! She was so happy and so excited that everyone was at our house! She didn't dig into the cupcake as most kids do, but she definitely had a great time running and playing with everyone!
And then to finish off the evening, we celebrated my 30th birthday! What a great day to celebrate two milestone birthdays!
Easter 2011
Easter was so much fun this year! Sydney's first official word was "egg!" How appropriate for the occasion! We had Easter at Nathan & Leah's. Leah's family was there too. We always have a blast with their family! Sydney didn't quite get the concept of picking up the egg, putting it into the basket, then finding another egg and putting it in the basket. It was still a fun day though!
Aggie Ring Dunk
On April 16th, we celebrated a special A&M Aggie tradition - Aggie Ring Dunk. Scotty got his Aggie Ring that weekend and the tradition is that you dunk it in a pitcher of beer, drink the beer and then wear the ring forever. The ring is an awesome symbol of the Aggie tradition and Aggie family. As my dad says, "A&M is the biggest fraternity there is!" I'm so proud of Scotty for coming this far and for graduating from such a fantastic university! Graduation is set for August .... for now, the ring dunk!! Let's celebrate!
Catching Up
Oh boy! I am behind on blogging!!! It's been crazy ever since April. Here we go ... lots of blogging throughout this weekend for everyone!
