January

January was a tough month. Sydney was sick every single week. Poor thing. It was just one thing after another. At the end of January Sydney was admitted to the hospital with bronchiolitis. As if this wasn't enough, Scotty was at home for a whole week with bronchitis and pneumonia. My mom was a life saver! She helped me at the hospital with Sydney and for the next two weeks, as we had to pull Sydney out of daycare since she was getting sick too often. We ran a bunch of tests on Sydney. They all came back normal, except the allergy test. She's allergic to peanut and egg, but this may go away in a few years. Sydney is doing SOOOO much better! She has been healthy for a full 6 weeks now! It is so nice to say that! We have a wonderful nanny that is staying with Sydney. She and Sydney have so much fun together and they really love each other. We are really enjoying her!

Some Sweet January Smiles

Pulling UP

Sydney enjoys pulling up on everything. She especially enjoys pulling up on the wine rack. Scotty immediately had to attach the rack to the wall so it didn't topple over.

I love my babies!!

Sydney received a couple of babies for Christmas. I never knew how much she would adore her babies! Her face lights up every time she sees one. She drags them around the house when she crawls. She's even tried to drag two at the same time. She didn't get very far that time. She loves to hold her baby as she sleeps.

The Ranch

Sydney enjoyed her fist trip to the ranch! We all took some fun family pictures on the hay bales.

Christmas Night 2010

Christmas night is always very fun at my Grammie's house! My whole family on my mother's side meets there for a huge Christmas feast and lots of Christmas tradition!

Each year my Grammie hides a green pickle in the Christmas tree for her seven grandchildren and spouses to find. It seems to get harder and harder each year to find that green pickle!

A sweet moment with Daddy reading to Sydney.

Christmas Morning 2010

Christmas morning was really special at the Shannon home. This was Sydney's first Christmas and our first Christmas as parents. We had a great morning and enjoyed watching Sydney have fun with her new toys.

Scotty's sister's family sent this Cabbage Patch doll for Sydney. I loved my Cabbage Patch dolls when I was little. I was so excited to see that Sydney has one. It's "My First Cabbage Path Doll," so it has a soft face.

Christmas Eve 2010

We had a wonderful Christmas! We started at Mimi and Ole's (my parents) house for Christmas Eve. We had a great day!

Seven Months Old

This is the cutest little flower I've ever seen!!

Crawling

Sydney started crawling the week after Thanksgiving. She started off crawling in familiar places. I knew once she was mobile she would follow our miniature dachshunds everywhere. Sure enough she does! Scotty and I quickly had to baby proof the house. It's funny how quick everything happens. It's as if she wanted to crawl just so she could pull up on everything. It all happens at the same time! We're enjoying this fun, mobile life!
