Christmas Morning 2010

Christmas morning was really special at the Shannon home. This was Sydney's first Christmas and our first Christmas as parents. We had a great morning and enjoyed watching Sydney have fun with her new toys.

Scotty's sister's family sent this Cabbage Patch doll for Sydney. I loved my Cabbage Patch dolls when I was little. I was so excited to see that Sydney has one. It's "My First Cabbage Path Doll," so it has a soft face.

Christmas Eve 2010

We had a wonderful Christmas! We started at Mimi and Ole's (my parents) house for Christmas Eve. We had a great day!

Seven Months Old

This is the cutest little flower I've ever seen!!

Crawling

Sydney started crawling the week after Thanksgiving. She started off crawling in familiar places. I knew once she was mobile she would follow our miniature dachshunds everywhere. Sure enough she does! Scotty and I quickly had to baby proof the house. It's funny how quick everything happens. It's as if she wanted to crawl just so she could pull up on everything. It all happens at the same time! We're enjoying this fun, mobile life!

Daycare Pictures

Sydney's has the sweetest caretakers at daycare! They do all kinds of cute projects with her. The most recent project was a cute popsicle stick framed picture of our sweet girl. I don't think they have given them out to the parents yet, but when Scotty saw it the other day he asked if he could take it. It's just so cute! Here are a couple of pictures that they have taken of her.

Laughing Sydney

Say "Mama"

Sydney said Mama last week!! Scotty secretly worked with her for a week and when she finally got it down he called me into the room. It was really sweet and so special to hear her say it. Now everything is Mamamamamama! She cracks me up!!

Thanksgiving 2010

We went to my grandmother's house for Thanksgiving. We had a wonderful time!

We even took a FIVE generation picture. My great-grandmother is 101 years old.

Cousins

Nathan's son, William, turned one on Thanksgiving Day. They had his first birthday party the Sat before the holidays. My mom captured this cute picture of both of them. Sydney isn't crawling yet and William is everywhere. Sydney got so excited when William came toward her only to see that William wanted the toy next to her. :( Ha! Sydney wants to go go go, but just can't get her legs and arms to do what her mind wants. I'm telling you - she's so close! I think she'll figure out how to move her arms and legs this week!
